HTML5 for web designers and web developers
Current HTML standards increased pressure for web designers and developers to build their web applications to be compatible visually and functionally across different browsers. HTML5 will enable the delivery of rich internet application to viewer across the various browsers, including mobile devices.

Before explaining what HTML5 is, it would be good to understand what HTML is?
HTML (The Hypertext Markup Language) in short is the language of the web page. HTML is a language which is understood by browsers like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome and Opera. All browser interpret HTML code and displays it as images and text understood by the viewers.
So what is HTML5?
HTML5 represents the latest revision of the HTML standard, which has been constantly redeveloped since its creation in 1990. Currently, HTML5 specifications are still in draft and is being updated by the HTML working group and W3C.
What is the benefit of using HTML5?
Lets say you have a great looking website designed using Flash. At present, flash website are disadvantaged to users of iPhone, as Apple does not support Flash applications. With HTML5 you can achieve the same level of design success, ensuring that the website can be viewed on browsers and mobile devices alike.
