The Challenge
Applied Machinery needed a user-centric design to establish a strong market position for their new machinery dealership and brands. It was imperative for the new website to improve user experience leading to increased qualified enquiries. Two important considerations for this project was that content needed to be managed by the client and machinery stock and categories had to be integrated with their Intranet System in real time.
The Solution

User Centric Design
The design was centered around user experience and user interaction.
- Clean, clear design with focus on reinforcing brand colours
- Easy navigation grouping with focus on product categories
- Enquiry forms, brochures, videos and product specification at the fingertips
- Improved User Experience and visitor duration on the website
Self Managed platform
After consultations it was decided to use WordPress CMS to build the frontend of the website.
- Enable self managing of the website content
- Regular blogging and news items
- Bespoke plugins to integrate with internal stocking system
- SEO friendly URLs for categories, products & brands

Website Infrastructure
Growing website traffic required an infrastructure with more power. Our solutions was
- Dedicated Managed Server environment
- Amazon Web Services Cloudfront implementation with “Push” notification
- Multi-level security and authentication
They took the time to get a good understanding of our needs and did a great job in translating our needs into a functional website and ‘back-end’ environment.
